Frequently Asked Questions

General

A digital planner/journal is an electronic version of a traditional paper planner/journal. It can be used on devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers, often requiring a PDF annotating app (e.g., GoodNotes, Notability, Xodo) for full functionality.

Digital stickers are graphic elements, resembling traditional physical stickers but in a digital format.

  • Customizable: personalized your planner/journal to enhance your digital planning experience
  • Accessible: sync across multiple devices
  • Modifiable: easily make updates and edits, allowing for seamless modifications without the messiness or constraints of pen and paper.
  • Sustainable: reduces the need for paper-based products, helping to minimize waste and conserve resources
  • Cost-efficient: only purchase one time so you can reuse over and over

After purchase, you have one (1) day to download the products, and can only download the product one (1) time. After that, you won’t have access. However, if you save the download to your device, you can access the files at any time.

Yes! Depending on the product, you can customize your planner or journal from the PDF download dashboard after purchase. For digital journals, you can customize page color and line spacing, For digital planners, you can customize orientation, page color, start of the week, and weekly layouts.

It depends on your preference in how you use your planner/journal. A stylus is recommended to make it easier to write, draw, and navigate. If you prefer to type, you have the option to use a keyboard (on-screen or physical).

Compatibility

Although the products have been tested on the iPad and Pixel Tablet, they can be used on other Android, Apple, and Windows devices depending on the app.

We recommend using PDF annotating apps that support hyperlinks. A few apps of choice include:

  • Goodnotes: Android (8-inch Samsung Galaxy tablets or larger), iOS, Mac, Windows
  • Notability: iOS
    • (Please note, during testing, hyperlinks are still active when in editing mode, which may cause frustration as you write over on hyperlinked areas that will take you to that page as you’re writing. Notability Customer Service will be contacted to fix this issue so that hyperlinks are inactive while in editing mode. Thank you for your patience!)
  • Noteshelf: Android, iOS
  • Xodo: Android, iOS, Windows

*Please note: the digital products will not work with OneNote or Evernote.

Although the digital products are best used on iPads and tablets, you can still sync to other devices such as your phone and computer so that your planner and journal will always be updated on these devices. It is best to use these devices when referencing your digital product so you can pull it up where you go.

To sync your digital product across devices, you can 1) save the file into cloud services (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud) and ensure that the app you’re using for your planner or journal supports these services, or 2) save the file into the app’s own cloud service and ensure the app you’re using is available on the smartphone, tablet, and computer.

Once set up, your planner or journal should automatically sync across all devices logged into the same cloud account.

Troubleshooting

Once purchased, you only have one (1) day to download the file and can only download it one (1) time and then lose access. The download should immediately be available to you from the website and also sent to your email. As long as the file is saved to your device, you will always have access to it at any time.

From the website:

Immediately after purchase, the Download Page will appear of your order. Under the “Download” column, click on the file to download and save to your device.  Depending on your browser settings, the file will automatically open, or manually open it from the downloads history in your browser.

If you don’t immediately download the file after purchase, but have an account, go to:

  • “My Account –> Downloads” and select the file to download and save. Once downloaded, the file will disappear from the “Downloads” page.
  • “My Account –> Orders”, select “View” to view the product ordered, and click the file under “Download” to download and save to your device.

From your email:

After purchase, you will be sent an email of your order (if not located in your primary inbox, check your spam folder). Select the file under the “Download” column to download and save to your device.

Digital planners/journals: Once downloaded, you will have access to a PDF download dashboard for that product. There, you can build and customize your digital planner or journal, and download the product.

Digital stickers: After downloading, a zip file will be available. Unzip/export the file, and the digital stickers (individual PNGs) will be available within the folder.
